leonardo's bride

they wrote and recorded it themselves, they released it themselves, they even named the lead track after themselves. leonardo's bride obviously like their name, and the cut named after it is spangly acoustic pop. abby dobson arcing her voice over luminous acoustic guitar. it sets a holding pattern they adhere to over these four tracks - a hint of frente, sundays, club hoy mixed in with crisp pop production, harmonies and catchy choruses. and bonus marks for calling a song 'swimmingly' and having the wonderful post-cohen line, 'if i stormed the tower of song tonight ...'
